Capiz Wind Chime - Autumn MistNew in 2008
SALE PRICEDRed and orange shells reflect the colors of autumn leaves as they twist and turn in the wind. Our Capiz Chimes are made from the shells of pearl oysters, commonly known as kapis. named after Capiz, a province of Panay Island in the Philippines, these shellfish are gathered in the wild. Every bit of the oyster is used, and the shells are carefully sorted and dried. In the 1500s, these shells were used as windowpanes in houses; now they are used in all sorts of home decorations, including lamp shades, vases, chandeliers and (of course) windchimes. 18 capiz shells (orange and red), copper powder-coated steel arches and leaf ornaments Email: info@chimesinthewind.com |
